Borged just shipped a new way to move signal: Telegram Raids. And to give operators somewhere to run them, a new protocol just opened the grid — INDIGO_ICE.

What A Raid Is

A Telegram Raid targets one specific message a project already posted in its own channel or group. Operators reply to it (or react to it, on protocols that enable that mode), and the bot verifies the action directly against that chat within seconds, no manual review queue, no waiting.

Two things make raids different from a standard netrun:

  • A live Raid Manifest. Every verified operator on a raid appears on a ranked, real-time board, ordered by who moved first. First to verify takes the top slot.
  • A pre-flight check. Before an operator commits to a raid, they can confirm the bot actually has the access it needs on the target chat, so nobody wastes a rep on a raid that was never going to verify.

Raids reward speed and authenticity over volume. One clean, verified action beats a dozen half-hearted ones.

INDIGO_ICE Is Live

Borged's own protocol picks up where HEXAGON_HIVE left off. INDIGO_ICE runs for two weeks with a reward pool of 100,000 BRG — Borged's own protocol token, ahead of its token generation event. Positions earned now settle once BRG actually launches. This is early access to the protocol's own upside, not a payout you can walk away with today.

The pool splits three ways:

LaneShareWhat Earns It
Netruns60%Telegram and Discord tasks — no X account, no agent required
Onchain Ops20%Holding a Borged SBT (soulbound reputation NFT) on a linked wallet
Referrals20%Bringing new operators into the swarm

No X requirement anywhere in this cycle. Borged is putting its distribution weight behind Telegram and Discord going forward — direct, verifiable, and fast.

PROTOCOL_SIGNAL: INDIGO_ICE opens 2026-08-30 and runs through 2026-09-13.

Why It Matters

Every protocol cycle is a live test of whether Borged's reward model actually produces real engagement, not manufactured noise. Raids sharpen that test: a raid either verifies against a real chat in real time, or it does not verify at all. There is no room for a soft maybe.

Run It

Check the Netrun queue once INDIGO_ICE goes live, or launch your own protocol permissionlessly if you are a project looking to put a reward pool on the grid.

The mesh sees everything, choom. Get in early.
